Zanu-PF politburo member and former president of the Senate, Naison Khutshwekhaya Ndlovu, abandoned the burial service of four villagers who died in a road accident on Saturday, in anger because the family would not 'take his instructions.

The four, from one family, are part of the seven people who died near Shangani when a Toyota Gaia veered off the road and hit them while they were fixing their vehicle by the roadside.

Khutshwekhaya, who was accompanied by other Zanu-PF officials, instructed the family to bury the bodies at a cemetery in Kombo but they refused.

"We have already dug the graves. This is the place we have chosen," said the family, refusing to compromise.

"You can always fill up the graves and dig new ones at the village cemetery. It is illegal to bury people at the place you have chosen. I will not be a party to this. Zanu-PF is leaving you," said Ndlovu, breathing heavily in anger.

The family was still unimpressed and watched him leaving in a huff with his entourage.

They went on to bury their relatives at the site they had chosen without Ndlovu's blessing.
