Zanu-PF said it is committed to continuing the pragmatic cooperation with the Communist Party of China (CPC), and suggested the two parties strengthen exchanges at different levels for mutual learning.
"Such exchanges will consolidate the long-standing Zimbabwe-China friendship, increase mutual trust and lay a solid foundation for economic development," Gumbo told a seminar hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Harare to commemorate the 90th founding anniversary of the CPC.
In May 2010, the CPC and ZANU-PF signed a memorandum of understanding to promote political exchanges and cooperation between the two parties.
Gumbo thanked China for its support to Zimbabwe over the years, saying the loans and grants offered by China have improved the welfare of Zimbabweans.
"We note that the loans extended by China to Zimbabwe had a positive impact on the economy of Zimbabwe. Our party will continue to encourage Zimbabwean and Chinese people to work together in cooperation on a win-win basis," Gumbo said.
ZANU-PF would also continue to encourage Zimbabwean farmers and miners to increase cooperation with Chinese companies and increase tobacco, cotton and chrome exports, he said.
At the seminar, Chinese ambassador in Harare Xin Shunkang said China would support Zimbabwe as always.
"The CPC and Chinese government value our traditional friendship with Zimbabwe. China will always support the just call of Zimbabwean people and oppose firmly the illegal sanctions on Zimbabwe," he said.
