The Movement for Democratic Change MDC salutes and congratulates the gallant sons and daughters of Zimbabwe for taking Zanu PF and its leader Robert Mugabe head on over the ravaging economic crisis.
Zimbabwe has disciplined, patient and tolerant citizenry that has been dragged too far by the Zanu pf regime currently in control.
We are warning the regime over human rights abuses and this bad habit of ignoring the loud calls for regime change in Zimbabwe. We shall continue to sympathise and work with the the victims of the regime in our search for the correct political prescription that will revive Zimbabwe.
In light of the failure by the regime to pay civil servants and account for the missing US$15 billion dollars, the Mdc is making a louder call for Robert Mugabe and his team of incompetent and uncouth ministers to step down and give the people of Zimbabwe a chance to rebuild their own country and eradicate the ruinous corruption.
The upsurge in public protests is a clear vote of No Confidence in Robert Mugabe and his entire leadership that has presided over the demise of this great nation called Zimbabwe.
The peaceful protests are clear signals for Robert Mugabe to make hay while the sun shines because the people are becoming too vicious for him to ignore.
It is our constitutional right as citizens of Zimbabwe to approve or disapprove an insincere and incompetent leadership with or without a war history. The Mdc stands firmly and confidently in solidarity with the government workers on strike and the entire Zimbabwean family that has gone on a paralyzing national protest over bad leadership by the Zanu pf regime.
Zimbabwe's unemployment rate stands at 97% and the crime rate has increased to alarming levels that are now threatening tourism and public safety
