MDC alliance will get its untainted mandate to rule Zimbabwe from the people in 2018

It is not abnormal for someone to quickly shift blame even before he or she has finally failed to deliver. At times it will be proper to simply request for assistance in a more formal and honest way if you are sure about your weaknesses.
The new administration in Zimbabwe will surely fail to deliver if what the so called Presidential Advisor (Chris Mutsvangwa) has said is the standard of what the citizens will hear on a daily basis for the next 8 months or so. Surely, Chris, with all the respect I used to give him can not claim that Morgan Tsvangirai(MT) made demands that are beyond this world. Words attributed to Chris allege that President Mnangagwa extended an "olive" hand to MT to participate in the sure to fail government but President MT demanded to be in the presidium as condition for his party members to be considered in the new Cabinet. This presents MT as someone who does not have the people and by extension the nation at heart. It also presents him as one who is hungry for power for personal gains and not the masses.
Contrary to that potrayed picture, MT is a brand that represents humility, democracy, love for the people, respect for people's will and the revolution led by the people. Therefore, Chris needs to be reminded that:
1. MT is still very clean. He can not afford to have his person and party tainted by being part of a government made up of people with diminished images left right and centre. ZANU PF should clean its messy alone or face the people's wrath in 2018.
2. MT and the people's Alliance he leads can not afford to work to rejuvinate the country while ZANU PF will be busy regrouping in preparation for the 2018 elections. History taught us that during the GNU, MDC T tirelessly worked for the people while ZANU PF was busy with its structures. Yes, the vibrant VP Nelson Chamisa (the Pastor and Advocate) shined in the ICT Ministry, Tendai Chibadura Biti outclassed all Finance Ministers in the world, Mr COPAC Dogie Dogie Mwonzora produced one of the best constitutions in the world and the list is long. Nyika yese yakafara. But our colleagues in the ZANU PF were busy on the ground singing Mugabe is cremora and this bore fruits for them on the infamous 31 July elections in 2013. Surely, MT was strategic this time around by not allowing ZANU PF to fool him once again. Chakachenjedza ndechakatanga.
3. The current administration is a reflection of ZANU PF factional wars. By participating in the government, MT would have allowed his innocent party to be involved in unneccesary internal wars that will obviously dominate this administration. Indeed Patrick Chinamasa and Joram Gumbo openly said that this was a ZANU PF animal even before the animal had not yet been killed. But for the sake of history and record for our children, such utterances reflect the selfishness that chacterise ZANU PF members. Yokwavamwe haigwigwi.
4. Already, the government has manifested a false start. It started with grave constitutional errors. I had thought that with all the so called Presidential Advisors in this administration, something better was going to be cooked. Dokora or Dofora, whatever his official name, became the ultimate victim of this whole drama. Anyway, the point is MT would not have loved to be involved in such unconstitutional errors. Indeed with a pool of intelligent and well experienced lawyers on his side, I would not expect that to have happened anyway if this government was under MT. But Ngwena is a lawyer, they say, but he allowed the criminals around him to expose him at this critical hour. Sorry havo President Mnangagwa.
5. MT can not afford to throw his best players into this friendly match when the finals are just but around the corner. He has to reserve his best team for the finals in 2018. Well done Save for thinking that way.
6. The MDC Alliance is needed now more than before, not within the drama-filled Cabinet but in its usual terrain. It is needed for the checks and balances during this time when the country is exposed to potentially tricky situations when the gun is directing our lives. MT strategically chose to be outside for the sake of the people. Mnangagwa should be kept on his toes.
7. By the way ZIDERA and all the relevant frameworks are still there- a law of Congress which no individual person can delete for the sake of Mnangagwa Administration to benefit from the international support. ZANU PF wanted MT to assist them to clean up their messy out there. "Keep your England and I will keep my Zimbabwe!", RGM would shout. Surely, if Zimbabwe will be readmitted into the Commonwealth for instance, MT and team will and is expected to put his own effort supported by a mandate from the people- that can only be after the 2018 mark. MT can only work to facilitate reangement with the support of the people through a vote. So look east or west, President vanhu vachingovukura. MT will do his part after 2018 judgement day.
8. By the way MT is Presidential material and not Vice President material as Chris would want the electorate to believe. Thus, he would not even envy those in the "presidium". Hu VP ndehwana Dr Stop it! ndovaihupengera.
9. Thus, MT's clear and legitimate mandate will only come from the people next year. Izvi zvekukokwa nemunhu angokokwawo nemasoja is not sustainable.
10. Chris should also be reminded that the revolution that ushered in the new dispensation on 18 November 2017, was and has been shepherded by non other than MT. The Mugabe Must Go call is synonymous with MT. And indeed MT gave direction and the people responded on 18 November 2017 nyika ikatinhira kuti RGM ngaende. Zvichizodii paye ahhh ndiye "Asante Sana".
If only Chris can remember all this, then he will not continue to present MT in the manner he did yesterday in Mashonaland West. Let Mnangagwa Administration fail alone without shifting the blame to innocent people. The MDC Alliance will get its legitimate mandate through a vote in 2018 and decide on who to include in the really Cabinet not the old dead woods. Allow the Alliance to concentrate on its core business of the moment; that of making sure that the people have registered as voters. It is these voters who will give MT the mandate to participate in the subsequent government. Surely, MT can not afford to participate in serving the people because of one person's benevolence. Let the people speak in 2018 then we pick our discussion from there.
