Hlalanu Kuhle section in Bulawayo get first ever school - Mathema granted land to construct

Bulawayo Governor Cain Ginyilitshe Mathema has been allocated 6.5 hectares of land in Cowdray Park's Hlalani Kuhle area to construct a secondary school.
The value of the land, according to the municipality is $16 000. Council said " … that it will be recalled that Governor Cain Mathema had applied for stand 15 702 Cowdray Park to accommodate a primary and secondary schools. A report was submitted to the Town Lands and Planning Committee of September 2011.
"The application was deferred as the applicant was asked to choose one project. The applicant had now chosen a secondary school, hence the application was now being submitted back to the committee," reads a council report.
The area chosen by Mathema has no learning facilities.
In reaching the decision to offer, Mathema who is the Zanu-PF deputy national spokesperson land, council said "that a portion of stand 15 702 Cowdray Park which was proposed stand 22 569 Cowdray Park measuring 6.5 hectares as depicted in TPA 9461 to Governor CainMathema for the purpose of establishing a secondary school as a price of $16 800.. that all costs related to the application be borne by the applicant".
However, council said all title survey costs which are $1 826 77 to be paid for by Mathema, the stand be fenced and gated and all building developments on the stand should be in accordance with council's approved plans and by laws.
It is not clear when construction would resume and who is sponsoring Mathema.
