Hooker reaps where she did not sow?

AN adulterous farmer has lost US$1 800 to a hooker he allegedly hired and enjoyed quality time with.
Phineas Dandira (45) is still puzzled with the treatment he alleges he got from a long time "friend" Blessing Muronzi (24). "I went with the accused to Elephant Lodge where we booked to spend the night.
"I had with me US$1 800 which was in my wallet and I also had some cash which was just in my pocket. "I placed the wallet under the mattress and we slept. "But the next morning I was shocked to see the accused person gone and my wallet too was missing under the mattress," testified Phineas.
Prosecutor Francisca Mukumbiri then told Phineas that the hooker, Blessing, had denied the allegations, saying that he did not have any money on him as he had even failed to pay for her sex services. "But the accused person is denying the allegations of stealing from you, saying that you had no such money as you only had US$5 as you failed to pay for the services," said prosecutor Mukumbiri.
"She is lying. I had US$1 800 which was for my farm implements, sprinklers and other things. "The other money I had was in excess of US$130. "I actually paid US$40 for the lodge and US$20 for the services," he said shyly. During cross-examination, Blessing questioned why Phineas had spent more than a week after the alleged offence before reporting.
"I want to ask you why you didn't report the allegations promptly? "You spent more than a week before lodging the police report, why?" she asked. Phineas replied saying he looked for her but she was nowhere to be found until he ran into her at a local popular bar. "I never stole your money, maybe you lost at it at other bars before we hooked up because you were already drunk.
"You (Phineas) are lying to this court, because you know where I am found. "When you saw me after the alleged offence, you also greeted me smiling and you spent more than 2 hours before you set the police on me. "I don't think you were going to smile at me if I had stolen from you. "You also said if I wanted you to drop the charges I was supposed to work at your farm for two months being your wife.
"So was that equivalent to the money which you allege I stole from you?" she asked.
Phineas, however, said he only offered Blessing a job because he wanted her to stop prostituting. "I only mentioned the issue of a job because I wanted you to stop prostituting," he said. More will be unearthed as this story continues before Harare magistrate Tayengwa Chibanda.
