Mnangagwa's advisor resigns from top bank

Member of President Emmerson Mnangagwa's Advisory Council Busisa Moyo has resigned from his position as a board member of First Capital Bank.

In a press release on Thursday the bank said Moyo resigned after he was appointed as a board member of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.

Announcing the resignation Moyo said, "Leadership is about embracing endings & new beginnings. I had lots of fun, learnt a lot & worked hard First Capital Bank. Thank you Barclays for the opportunity to serve on the board thank to vakoma vangu Anthony Mandiwanza, Canan Dube, Gubvamatanga and all colleagues at the bank."

Busisa Moyo is Chairman for Oil Expressers Association of Zimbabwe and Chief Executive Officer at United Refineries Ltd. Mr. Moyo is also on the board of First Capital Bank Ltd.

In the past Mr. Moyo was President for Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries.

Mr. Moyo received an undergraduate degree from the University of South Africa.
