FC Platinum beaten in Sudan

FC Platinum coach Lizwe Sweswe expected his team to do better in their 2-1 defeat to Sudanese side Al Hilal in a CAF Champions League encounter in Khartoum Friday night.

The Zimbabweans lost their opening match of Group B leaving them bottom on the standings after Egyptian giants Al Ahly lost 1-0 away to Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel.

Mohamed Musa Eldai struck twice either half for Hilal while Never Tigere scored for the visitors direct from a a free kick.

Platinum coach Lizwe Sweswe said his men did well but could have done better to avoid the defeat.

"I think we could have done better but the boys did well.

"These are big matches you learn as you go," he said.
