Master Zhoe targets bigger market

AFTER a successful third album launch in Gwanda last month, musician Master Zhoe, real name Thembinkosi Zhoe, says he is ready to take his music to all parts of the country.

The Gwanda-based musician recently shared the stage with dancehall chanter Killer T at the Cosmopolitan Night Club, located at Ascot Race Course in Bulawayo.

"I have been doing well in this part of the country â€" Gwanda and Bulawayo. The support I am receiving is very humbling," Master Zhoe said.

"It's time I spread my music to other parts of the country. We have been sharing the music, but I believe I have to do better so that we make an impact in Zimbabwe as a whole."

He said there was a lot arts talent in Gwanda.

"We have good singers and producers in Gwanda that only need to be exposed to the world," said Zhoe.

Master Zhoe is also a music promoter and runs a night club â€" Masters Night Club â€" in Gwanda.

His latest album titled Ngingene carries tracks such as Akungise, Ngizokulinda, Nhliziyo, Ingoma, Izolo, Ikhavela, Khululeka, Imali, Khuluma, Mahala Instrumental and Ndiriko.

The title track also carries great visuals directed and shot by multi-award winning Rasquisite Kaitse. The video was shot in Bulawayo at a local leisure spot and also a t a church in Nkulumane.

Zhoe also did a video with another award-winning video director Andy Cutta for the song My One and Only which features Zhezhingtonz.
