The President Emmerson Mnangagwa government is allegedly funding the newly established Mambo dynasty the Secretary for Matabeleland Chiefs Nothiwani Dlodlo has alleged.

Mike Moyo was installed recently as the Mambo of Rozvi people.

"Mambo Dynasty is a parallel structure but shockingly am told it's full funded by ministry of local government for all its activities. When journalists wanted clarity from the minister of local government for a week he wasn't answering his phone." Dlodlo said.

Dlodlo added that the government wants to take away portions of land from the Ndebele Chiefs and replace with Shona ones.

"This came to light during the 7/9/2019 coronation of Mike Moyo as Mambo King event at Mawabeni we are aware of this plan to push Ndebele Chiefs out of their areas of jurisdiction

"Coronation of Bulelani Khumalo as King Lobhengula the second was stopped last year on 02/03/2018 by ministry of local government through Bulawayo High court citing that Zimbabwe constitution doesn't accommodate a King but the same ministry of local government under same constitution that doesn't allow a King to be coronated fully funded and supported the coronation of Mike Moyo on 7/9/2019 as Mambo King."

Moyo's installation was attended by the Ministry of Local Government and a member of parliament.
