Chamisa, Mnangagwa parties row over GNU

As efforts to get President Emmerson Mnangagwa and opposition leader Nelson Chamisa to talk directly increase, it has emerged that Zanu PF and the MDC came close to setting up a second government of national unity (GNU) after the stunning November 2017 military coup.

Chamisa confirmed to the Daily News yesterday that there had indeed been a deal between the two parties to put in place another inclusive government.

However, both Zanu PF and the MDC are blaming each other why this agreement was ultimately not consummated.
