He said NRZ takes an active part in contributing to national activities and has in the past assisted with transport to events such as Independence Day and Heroes Day commemorations.

"The train from Bulawayo will leave the city on Thursday 24 October 2019 at 3PM and arrive in Harare on Friday 25 October 2019 at 4.20AM. It will return after the solidarity march, departing at 8PM and arriving in Bulawayo at 8.40AM," he said.

Mr Maravanyika said 15 coaches that accommodate 1 500 passengers have been provided for travellers from Bulawayo.

He said passengers from Mutare have been provided with 12 coaches that can carry up to 1200 people.

"The trains will make stops at stations and sidings along the way to pick up passengers. People wishing to make use of the free trains can get in touch with Station Masters at their nearest railway station for more information," said Mr Maravanyika.
