LEAD President Linda Masarira has sensationally claimed that her estranged husband Gilbert Kaingidza wanted to murder her before he skipped the border.

Masarira was responding to spreading reports by Kaingidza that she is a CIO operative who is being paid by ZANU PF to destabilise the opposition movement.

Said Masarira, "I will not be distracted by naysayers & propaganda from erstwhile husband on the run for attempting to kill me. He ran away from police on the 18th of October 2019 and jumped the border. My struggle is real and I will continue to advocate for transformation of livelihoods."

Masarira further said the husbands has been abusing her while she kept silent.

"without fear or favour @Gatsheni2019 took advantage of my silence on his abusive nature to conclude his assignment on destroying my image and person which he confessed early in October and audios are available. Politics is a dirty game and yes this is a time for me to be muddy."

The controversial former MDC-T Spokesperson lamented the fact that women who stand up against injustice are being persecuted.

"It has never been easy for women to be original and have a successful political career. Look at what happened to Margaret Dongo, once again the second woman after Margaret to have the courage to stand alone and fight for socioeconomic justice is going through the same damnation, slander and assassination of character.

"In turmoil and tenacity I thrive. I will not stop fighting for a better Zimbabwe which will ensure sustainable human development and economic growth. Enjoy the funday that has been created for you those who feed on propaganda."
