THE Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) has challenged the media to assist with investigative journalism that will help the commission to deal with corruption.

Addressing journalist in      Harare on Wednesday Zacc' research and knowledge management manager Onesmus Nyaunde said   journalists  play a pivotal role in fighting graft.

"It is every Zimbabwean right to fight corruption and as Zacc' we are privileged  to have the media assist us in exposing corruption," Nyaunde said.

"We therefore expect journalists to give in depth investigations that will be used by ZACC to arrest culprits."

Nyaunde castigated media capture saying that would mislead the nation and make combating corruption very difficult.

"The media should be fair and avoid bribery because the nation relies on them hence our appeal is for them to be fair."

Nyaunde said societies are having a moral decay and ZACC need the role of the media to raise awareness.

Meanwhile, ZACC has embarked on a provincial awareness this month and the media is the key stakeholder in the awareness.
