Fuel crisis that started almost two weeks ago continues to rock the city of Bulawayo with all the garages that sell the energy liquid in local currency having nothing at all while only a few that are selling it in forex have it

A survey done in the City established that since Friday last week most service stations have no fuel while the Puma service station received deliveries on Friday which was finished on Saturday.

Service stations dotted around the city centre, such as Trek, Zuva, Puma and Total have not been having fuel for sometime. Only a few of their service stations had deliveries which did not last over the weekend.

Interviews conducted with attendants at service stations showed that they were not even aware when the next deliveries would be.

"The fuel was there on Saturday and got finished. We do not know when it will be delivered," said one attendant at a Puma garage.

The survey also showed that only Classic Cars, Magnum and Glow which sell fuel in forex have it and are characterized by very short queues or none at all because most motorists have no forex.

The developments come at a time when the government has offered to permit the other service stations to sell fuel in forex.
