Mazowe Central legislator Sydney Chidamba has been implicated in Grain Miller's Association of Zimbabwe (GMAZ) saga.

Allegations are that Mashonaland Central Members of Parliament are sympathetic to GMAZ chairperson Tafadzwa  Musarara who is being accused of swindling US$27 million which the Association received from the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) to import wheat.

It is further alleged that Chidamba was bribed by Musarara to play the case low with his colleagues in the province as he hails from the same district with Musarara.

Mazowe Central constituency is the only constituency in province that has managed to conduct victory celebrations for both councillors or MP at the expense of other constituencies since Musarara was funding Chidamba.

Contacted for comment  Chidamba refuted the claims saying the situation was a  political move.

"The claims are false and more political because me and Musarara come from the same area and he was just assisting us but not bribing us that is a political claim," Chidamba said

"I financed my own victory celebrations because l am a farmer as to why MPs in the province are not responding to his allegations l would not know why."

Musarara was not picking calls and GMAZ spokesperson Garikai Chaunza did not respond to questions sent to him.
