In a shock audio message currently circulating on social media, Former Deputy Finance Minister and Harare East legislator Terrence Mukupe has condemned the ZANU PF politburo, labeling it as composed of tired and unelectable leaders who serve at the mercy of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

Mukupe, who was speaking from his South African base, said the ZANU PF's  Mnangagwa would be defeated by the opposition leader Nelson Chamisa in 2023  because the economy was collapsing.

In his unsolicited analysis and audio message which he threw on the social media as a way to campaign for the ZANU PF Youth League post which fell vacant following the sacking of Youth Secretary Pupurai Togarepi, Terrence Mukupe also said that the party would plunge in a succession crisis in the event that the President dies due to its patronage system that has seen undeserving and unelectable individuals being promoted to the politburo.

While Afrobarometer, a renowned opinion poll organization has predicted an emphatic win for ZANU PF in the next elections due in 2023, Mukupe has suggested that Mnangagwa, Obert Mpofu, Oppah Muchinguri, Patrick Chinamasa among others would fail the party come 2023, a situation he said can only be salvaged if deserving cadres were elected into Senior positions.

Mukupe is currently fighting a popular Malawian prophet Shepherd Bushiri whom he accuses of bedding and impregnating his wife.

The aspiring legislator who lost to Tendai Biti in last elections is among the party members believed to have a chance to succeed Togarepi including Hwedza South legislator Tinoda Machakaire, Goromonzi West MP Energy Mutodi, and Gokwe-Nembudziya  MP Justice Mayor Wadyajena.

President Mnangagwa has not hinted as to when he intends to replace the fired Youth League members with speculation rife that he was still analyzing the CVs of potential candidates. The new youth league Secretary is expected to be the face of the party's youth going into the 2023 elections and must campaign vigorously to get a share of the urban vote currently dominated by the opposition MDC.
