Jonathan Moyo threatens to expose Mwonzora
Professor Jonathan Moyo has threatened to expose how MDC leader Douglas Mwonzora sent him a message begging for money to fight Nelson Chamisa.
Moyo was responding to Mwonzora, "In 2002 Zimbabweans saw the enactment of POSA, AiPPA , the Citizenship Amendment Act etc. This was meant to close democratic space. Those who championed this cannot suddenly masquerade as democrats. For the record I have never met Jonathan Moyo since the coup."
Nonsense. These things don't just happen. They have a context. I woke up worried about the #coronavirus. Only to find @DMwonzora on my case here. After the treachery he has done & is doing, if @DMwonzora wants any loyalty, he must get it from the devil & Mnangagwa; not from me!— Prof Jonathan Moyo (@ProfJNMoyo) April 4, 2020
Said Moyo" I've not met you since the coup but you met Patrick Zhuwao and others and sent me messages seeking funds! He actually sent me a WhatsApp message, asking me to help find him a sponsor (read the late former President Mugabe) to fight Nelson Chamisa. This was after the November 2017 military coup. This fellow is too duplicitous. Let him say nyoo and the V11s will speak for themselves!"
When Moyo was asked why he was exposing Mwonzora, "Wrong. The straightforward lesson is that trust is a two way street. If you act like Mwonzora and become duplicitous and treacherous, nobody will owe you any loyalty; you will be exposed. Simple!"
