MLO would like to commend the brave decision taken by the government of Sudan to handover genocidist former President, Omar al Bashir and others to the International Criminals Court to face the charge of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity committed in Darfur.

Their observation that for the healing of genocide wounds to happen there must be justice against perpetrators is spot on. With human rights abusers, bullies and slaughterers of innocent people behind bars where they rightly belong, the world will be a safer and better place to live in.

Zimbabwe too can be a safer and better place to live in, that is if the Shona majority stop supporting genocidists like President Mnangagwa, Vice President Constantino Chiweng, Agriculture Minister, Perence Shiri and others who hold pivotal positions in the government of Zimbambwe and private sector.

Those killers do not deserve to be glorified as leaders. But like all other human rights abusers, genocidists and corrupt thieves, they belong not in the public office or our good communities, but small prison cells. The Shona majority should stop protecting these criminals and hand them over to the International Criminals Court.

It is these criminals who have reduced the once prosperous Zimbabwe into the poorest nation in Africa and failed state without its own currency.

It is the same corrupt and murderous criminals who have divided Zimbabwe into two along tribal lines. Majority Shona people are held high as superior citizens who own Zimbabwe and Matabele as inferior foreigners and unwanted people who should be wiped out of the face of earth. Unfortunately our fellow Shonas have accepted this false status as they benefit immensely from it thereby falling into the trap of the Shona supremacism.

It is this tribal hate that drove the government of Zimbabwe supported by the majority Shona, to deploy Zimbabwe National Army 5th Brigade in Matabeleland in the 1980s to commit genocide.

More than 40 000 Matabele civilians including born and unborn children, women and old people, were dastardly killed. More than 100 000 Matabele women including school going girls were rapped, more than 100 000 Matabele homes were burnt down. More than a million Matabele people were displaced into neighbouring countries and the remaining plus- minus 4 million face the wrath of the oppressive government of Zimbabwe through tribal marginalisation in all spheres of life.

The Shona majority cheered on the gukurahundist government of Zimbabwe when it slaughtered Matabeles 1980s, holding solidarity rallies all over Mashonaland to support the Zimbabwe National Army 5th Brigade. Both old and young were celebrating the death of Matabeles while holding banners and placards that were clearly written, "forward with 5th Brigade, we wish you well".

They continue to protect the genocidists within their midst from facing justice for committing genocide in Matabeleland. They only rebuke the government of Zimbabwe for destroying the economy, not for killing innocent Matable civilians.

Main Matabeleland genocide perpetrators like Mugabe have died without facing justice or apologising. He was under Shona majority tight security and protection because they do not see Matabeleland genocide as a crime at all. Evidenced by their wild celebrations during Matabeleland genocide. On one hand they made sure he was under house arrest for the remainder of his life as punishment for wracking the economy, while on the other hand they made sure he was protected from prosecution for Matabeleland genocide. The opportunity to face justice and get things right was missed. No one among the living Shonas will apologise on his behalf and be heard. He left this Matabele- Shona animosity that will haunt Zimbabwe forever.

That is the reason why Matabeleland has taken a bold and permanent decision to breakaway from oppressive Zimbabwe and restore the statehood of Matabeleland which was lost on 3 November 1893.

The restoration of Matabeleland statehood is justified and a very good cause worth dying for. The means justifies the end. Give us Matabeleland or death!

Let me end by warning traitors. Some of them are already in the dirty game filling their pockets with blood money from our enemies, they have even gained weight. We are watching you very closely. Some will develop the appetite for blood money along the curve, we say be warned! It will be better for you to take a rope and hang yourself like Judas Iscariot than face our nice and glittering necklace.

Izenzo kungemazwi!
