Its better to build children than repair adults

24 May 2020 at 21:58hrs | Views
The unsolicited 'long school holidays' as a result of the plague induced lockdown has availed our children with inexhaustible idle time. An idle mind is the devil's workshop.

This has left the children vulnerable to both spiritual and human predators eager to pull them down and destroy their future. The clever ones are busy studying indoors in compliance with the nationwide lockdown. It is the duty of parents and guardians to closely monitor activities of their children who may be highly tempted to deviate from what is expected of them.

The temporary closure of churches does not stop families from praying indoors. We need God now more than ever before. Spiritual nourishment with the Word will keep us stronger in the face of the devastating pandemic.

Some churches are holding services online, putting technology to good use. Sermons and advice are shared much to the benefit of many.

School children can keep themselves busy reading until such time they go back to school. Mischief and disobedience are a good recipe for disaster. Its better to build children than repair adults.

Career people are a respected lot, let's keep our children on the right path. Reading scriptures when taking a break from school books can spiritually uplift our souls. Life without hope is hoping against hope. Praise be to God.
