Chiyangwa's company selling stands illegally in The Grange?

26 May 2020 at 08:25hrs | Views
The Grange Residents Association would like to advise and urge all members of the public who are buying residential stands in The Grange (Harare) from Pinnacle Investments to verify the legal status of those stands before making their payments.

It has come to our attention that Pinnacle Holdings through (Rawson Property estate agents) are selling stands subdivided from stand 710 of The Grange. This piece of land was attached by The Grange Residents Association after Padley enterprises (a division of Pinnacle) failed to complete outstanding works (road construction, water reticulation, electricity etc) as specified in Subdivision Permit 1850 (2006), to the satisfaction of the City of Harare and residents. Members of the public are encouraged to verify the status of stand 710 with the deeds office.

In the Supreme Court Case No SC 386/18 between Padley Investments and The Grange Residents Association, it was directed that in the event that Padley Investments failed to complete the outstanding works by the 30th April 2020, The Grange Residents Association will go ahead to dispose stand 710 and complete the outstanding works (roads etc) and get a certificate of compliance from the City of Harare. There is a caveat put on this property stopping anyone from selling.

We are therefore urging members of the public to verify the legal status of the Grange stands being sold by Pinnacle Investments through Rawson properties estate agents in The Grange before making payments.
