Chinamasa still happy to be handling rubbish

29 May 2020 at 08:17hrs | Views
THIS week, the pre-historic relic Patrick Chinamasa was dusted off and wheeled out at Zanu-PF headquarters to face the press and take his turn at telling lies.

In the absence of Simon Khaya Moyo aka SK, apparently receiving world-class medical treatment elsewhere, Chinamasa is the acting party spokesperson.

As SK Moyo has shown many times, a requirement for the job is just to shut down your own brain and read whatever it is they put in front of you. And so Chinamasa did just that.

He told journalists: "There is suspicion among all right-thinking people as it follows a similar script that once played out in 2019 involving one Dr (Peter) Magombeyi who, in a similar style, announced to the world that he had been abducted, before turning up a few days later, announcing again that he had found himself."

Having left the country drowning up to its eyeballs in deficits, it is good to see the man is still useful. Last time we saw Chinamasa, he was hosting lavish official openings of bins in Rusape. As Zanu-PF's interim spokesperson, he is doing more or less the same job - handling rubbish.
