Econet targets Beitbridge for 4G LTE

Telecommunications giant Econet Wireless Zimbabwe says its next stop for fourth generation 4GE Long-Term Evolution (LTE) network will be Beatrice.
Group chief executive officer Douglas Mboweni said after Beatrice their next proposed destination for 4GE LTE will be the border town of Beitbrdge.
4G LTE coverage for now is in Harare, Bulawayo and Victoria Falls and we are now targeting the largest entry to Africa which is Beitbridge.
4G LTE is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals.
Most of the parts in are covered in GSM, GPRS and EDGE Coverage and all cities and towns are covered in 3G and Wimax coverage.
Econet Wireless is the first in the country to have 4G LTE and said they have never refused to share infrastructure with their competitors but some of them default.
