ZESA Holding's subsidiary, Powertel will launch the country's fifth mobile network and an additional fixed line network as part of its re-branding efforts.
The telecommunications company unveiled its new identity on the back of a successful network upgrade that has led to increased capacity and the introduction of new products such as the voice service that will run on the voice over internet protocol (VOIP).
Previously, the firm only provided internet solutions but the voice service is already being rolled out with only two major mobile network operators yet to be interconnected.
Powertel Marketing Manager, Mr Prosper Mutswiri said the company aims to strike a balance between its mandate as the subsidiary of a key parastatal and providing reliable, efficient and cost effective services catering for various market segments.
The telecommunications company has also set up a new national call centre that will operate round the clock, servicing telecommunications and pre-paid electricity users since it is the aggregator for pre-paid electricity.
