As the wave of dismissing the workers on three months notice since the ruling made by the Supreme Court granting employers to give notice of three months before dismissing workers hit the nation since last week, the tyre making company Dunlop in Bulawayo has reportedly fired about 85 workers on Tuesday.
Sources from the company said the management adopted the Supreme Court and sent the workers home at short notice without packages but would pay them for only three months.
Th3e developments come at a time when Grain Bag is said to have already fired 108, ZimPharm fired nine and Plus Five dismissed yet to be known number of workers only this week.
Labour experts and workers have condemned the Supreme Court as likely to stir anarchy while political analyst viewed it as a catalyst for change in view that the stranded workers would up-rise against the government and protest in numbers which will cause a lot of disturbances in the country.
