The director of Amakhosi Cultural Centre, Cont Mhlanga yesterday said the Nyaminyami script have been completed.
Mhlanga said script writers were working flat out to have the script ready on time. He said by the beginning of next month, episodes one to four would be out and the premiere date would be set then.
"We do not have problems in shooting, the only delays we get are on pre and post production. We have sharp actors, who know what they are doing and I think by the beginning of June we should have episodes one to four out," said Mhlanga.
He said rehearsals would not begin until the script was completed.
"It is hectic I have to take everyone's ideas and produce a director's script. I am working at night until 3am because we cannot start rehearsing without a script," said Mhlanga.
He said it was a new experience for the script writers as they had to finish the whole Nyaminyami series.
"The script writers are learning new things like producing the whole script of a production without doing any shooting. We want to do things professionally," said Mhlanga.
He encouraged companies to invest in film production.
"It is good to have sponsors who can lift the industry's standards and usually such sponsors would want the project to have the script on the table.
"We call for companies to fund such projects so as to enforce certain standards from the production company," said Mhlanga.
He said three script writers are working on the Nyaminyami series. They are Mandisi Gobodi, Thembelihle Moyo and Nkosinomusa Moyo.
Last month the Nyaminyami series cast was unveiled with a mix of raw and seasoned talent.
Seasoned actors such as Alick Zulu, Precious Makhulumo, Mandla "Sinjonjo" Moyo, Bobo "Sibali" Dlamini, Sandra Ndebele and Victor Khatsiso are in the cast.
The raw talent includes Lindy "Nadia" Nyathi, Nomvuyiso "Aggie" Mabi, Lawrence "Jimalo" Mwale, Donald "Bricks" Sibanda and Bonisanani Mahayiza.
The Joint Operations and Implementation Committee (Jomic) are the funding the Nyaminyami series.
