Johannessburg - The Mzansi based film production company - BMK (Bold Media Kreation) ,fronted by a Zimbabwean born film producer Bongani Kriss Moyo, is slowly penetrating Mzansi film industry in a movement that will benefit most of  Zimbabwean actors, scriptwriters and Directors.

Switchbod Arts Magazine caught up with Moyo "The Beast" who echoed the same usual sentiments about Zimbabwean arts business. He said: "Zimbabwe has a lot of talent that is left dying a natural death by the arts industry. I believe most of the young talented actors are not given enough chances or platforms to prove their worth in this film industry."

Switchbod Arts Magazine also learns that BMK production, was formed in 2014 by Moyo after realising that there was a need to uplift young actors who were not being recognised.

"The Beat" wishes to see some of his actors being recognised by established production houses.

When asked about what inspired him to open such a production house he said; "passion pushed me to do so. In addition, I have seen people with talent failing to show their strength simply because of them not being given the platform. Those without the acting background or history are not recognised by big groups or established production houses. Therefore BMK exists to cater for that segment and to transform those talents to something special."

BMK productions is located at Highlands North on the northern side of Johannesburg. It provides services ranging from script writing, editing, video shooting and doing portfolios for artists.

So far the company has produced one film entitled " Imali ihamba losathane," released early this year and we are told that the second film is top quality.

In its quest to improve quality and to build a strong foundation, BMK is now working in collaboration with, Ringa Films, Usungulo Arts Consultancy and Ingqungqulu Native Writers.

Moyo aka "The Beast" further told Switchbod Arts Magazine that there are currently busy with a new film, whilist other scripts are in waiting and his company is open to any kind of collaboration with sponsors and established production companies.

The company is currently solely self-sponsored by its members to keep it running. "I am trying to groom and train the young actors I have in my stable. I hope that they will build their names in this industry. It is my wish that lady luck smiles at us one day and we get a sponsorship", Moyo concluded.

The BMK Production can be contacted via its Facebook page trading under the same name.
