Pepsie wins NAMA award 2013! IYASA is so proud to be working with you! Go girl! Congrats ! - IYASA
The annual National Arts Merit Awards (Nama) was held in the City of Kings, Bulawayo yesterday.
Unfortunately everything did not go as planned and there was blunder as the top actress award was given to a man.
There were some complaints from others especially those from Harare because some Bulawayo winners were making acceptance speeches in isiNdebele, yet guest of honor and accomplished musician Oliver Mtukudzi spoke in Shona through out his speech.
However it was not all doom and gloom as the Director of Iyasa, Nkululeko Innocent Dube was over the moon as one of their dancers grabbed Outstanding female dancer award.
Dube wrote on his Facebook Timeline: "Our very own Pepsie Magonya is Zimbabwe Nama's outstanding female dancer of Zimbabwe. Thank you Zimbabwe, thank you Bulawayo , Iyasa, promoters across the world! Fans, family and the power above! I am proud?"
