Back from a successful tour of Australia, Carl Joshua Ncube the top Zimbabwean comedian is going to share his experiences in a one man show at Soprano's in Avondale this Friday.

The welcome back show comes at a time  where Carl is beginning to assert himself on the African Comedy Landscape after touring with one of Africa's finest comedians Basketmouth from Nigeria. Carl impressed audiences in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide.

"Stand up comedy is growing so much in Africa and I am grateful to be part of this new generation of African Comedians" said Carl.

The versatile comedian explained how being Zimbabwean has been a great help to his comedy as Zimbabweans are often well read and are influenced by many countries so performing outside of Zimbabwe tends to be easier for the comedian.

"We initially performed to a largely Nigerian crowd but as the tour developed and people seeing the reviews on social media we began to see a mix of nationalities coming to the shows Carl added."

The comedian says that Zimbabwean stand up comedians have the kind of experiences in their story telling can be understood by a wider range of people stating also that Zimbabwe is a well known country because of our Politics but this is now an opportunity to teach the world other things about ZIMBABWE and its amazing PEOPLE!

Carl is back and now promises his audiences a brand new and very EDGY performance based on events in Zimbabwe as well as his travels around the world. After Soprano's show on Friday, Carl will then embark on other shows around the country in some of his favourite spots.
