New competition not a threat, says Zoey

SELF-PROCLAIMED queen of pole dancing Zoey Sifelani says the new wave of exotic dancers are mere night riders who have no future in the entertainment industry.
The introduction of new outlets such as Private Lounge in Harare has given birth to new exotic dancers such as the Freaky Barbie Dolls who seem to be taking the country's arts scene by storm.
But Zoey, one of the pioneers of raunchy entertainment in the country said she was not threatened by the new dancers who she feels will soon be forgotten by patrons as they are "mere" dancers while she described herself as a professional dancer.
"They are just night riders who've no future in the dance industry. They think getting undressed in front of people is an art which they can sustain. You can't spend four hours just exposing your undressed body on stage, it's impossible. This is a passing phase, they found us here and they shall leave us here," said Zoey.
"I'm not having sleepless nights because of these girls, some like Magnito and Reela of Freaky Barbie Dolls whom I fired from the Red Angels for unbecoming behaviour. I believe I was right in firing them as they would've corrupted the other dancers," said Zoey.
