SOUTH AFRICAN-BASED award-winning musician Enock "Nox" Guni is expected to hold a gig at the Circus International Club, Harare, tomorrow night. Nox, who is also expected to launch his album titled "Kupenga Kuti Pee", would be ably supported by two urban groovers Jay C and Tawanda Mugodhi.
The rapper, who is a former student of the Midlands State University and a holder of a marketing degree, is expected to give his best, when he makes a return at the club that is patronised by music fans who love high quality entertainment.
Nox, who has been on a whirlwind tour across the globe and will soon be going back to Europe to promote his brand, believes he has got what it takes to entertain music fans from different backgrounds.
This, he said, has been as a result of the international exposure he got and his stay in South Africa, where he has staged shows with different artistes
"I am very humbled by the support that I have been receiving from my fans, particularly those who are in South Africa.
"They really like my music and it is because of them that I have been able to clinch a lot of deals to perform at some of the prestigious places, not only in South Africa alone but even in Europe," he said.
Nox grew up in Kuwadzana, Harare, and did his primary education there. He attended Ellis Robins and Morgan high schools.
He started taking music seriously in 2002. He then participated in a reality music show called Superstar which was screened on ZTV and later went to join Shape Zimbabwe Project in 2003 where he was spotted by Zimbabwean brothers Roy and Royce Gomo.
That discovery signalled the beginning of his career and he immediately released his first single "Iwe Maria".
He now has eight albums to his name.
