VETERAN South African singer Dan Tshanda and some musicians from his Dalom music stable are set to perform in Hwange and Bulawayo next month.
The shows have been set for April 26 at the Hwange Colliery Stadium and the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo the next day. Show promoter John Kafuta said Tshanda had initially been scheduled to perform in Harare and Bulawayo early next month with Sulumani Chimbetu, but the plan could not go ahead due to the latter's tight calendar.
"We have had to move the show to Hwange and Bulawayo," Kafuta said.
"Tshanda has performed several times in Bulawayo and he knows how to entertain his fans from this area. His previous shows were popular."
Besides Tshanda, musicians from the Dalom stable slated to perform include Splash, Peacock, Dalom Kids and Matshikos.
Kafuta said Zimbabwean musician Ndwi Nduna, who plays music similar to Tshanda's, will be one of the supporting acts. Kafuta added that both shows would kick off at 6 pm and run until the next morning. The Dalom stable is known for its all-night shows, some of which end at sunrise.
Tshanda is a popular musician who has produced a number hits from albums that include Peacock, Eye for an Eye, Nesindande, Khoma Khoma, Ndosala, Double Face, Crocodile and Ndivhuwo. He last performed in Bulawayo in March last year.
