Bulawayo based Imbube group off to SA festival

A Bulawayo-based Imbube group, Impumelelo Shining Stars, will take part in the Ihlombe International Choral Festival that will be held in South Africa this weekend.
The Zimbabwean group is leaving for South Africa on Wednesday.
Popularly known for their hit track "Kuhle Ukubambana\ Unity", the 9-member group will rub shoulders with some of the best choral musicians at the choral festival.
The festival is on this weekend.
The leader of the group Oscar Siziba says apart from performing during the festival, the group will also be conducting workshops on Zimbabwean music.
The group currently has seven albums to their name and three DVD's, with the latest having been recorded in 2014.
Siziba believes their music has been well received by locals due to its quality.
The group collaborated with Joseph Tshabalala of the world acclaimed Lady Smith Black Mambazo on some of their tracks.
Most of Impumelelo Shining Stars' songs focus on the importance of preserving African tradition.
