Ezechwane maskandi group will be launching a new 12 track album in Johannesburg on the 16th of December 2016 at Alec Goschel Park (Beria park) starting from 10am and ending at 6pm.
Speaking from Johannesburg, one of the group members Thobani Mkhize said: "it is a hot album but I know people will love one of the tracks titled 'inkululeko' (independence), as it touches on trending sensitive issues of our lives."
"The other track 'imali yethu' is a direct message to all drivers to be very cautious on road especially considering the congestion of this December festive season. The drivers are reminded that people use their hard earned cash to pay and so their families at home are eargerly waiting for 'izinjiva' (citizens in diaspora ) to arive alive, hence drivers must stand as trusted pillars of family security," Mkhize elaborated.
When asked about the controversial tittle track 'Beza nempi' (they come with war) Mkhize said: "this is an outcry by us to fellow artists who always accuse us for no proper reasons. So we are saying let this end ,as artists we must have a unity of purpose, there is no gain in these useless squabbles."
Apparrantly this will be the third album by Ezechwane, the debut project being 'Emaphisa ' (12tracks), followed by 'Amazamazama' (14) tracks.
The group is under the stewardship of Oscar Mncube flanked by his secretary Ndumiso Masiya and the production crew fronted by Thobani Masiya Mkhize alongside other team leaders like Mtoliki Masiya, Bongani Ndlovu and Mbonisi Ngwenya .
The MCs of the day are non other than the Maskandi masterminds Gwaza ka Noncipha and Mxotshwa ka Ndebele, who also called upon fans to gear up for an end of year Maskandi thriller.
Organisers further promised an action packed event and judging from the chemistry of artists involved, the maskandi lovers will have every reason to shed a smile on their faces and anticipate a humdinger.
