Mlambos in a road accident
Turning stumbling blocks to stepping steps of success is what Mlambos is fond of, whereas 2016 December's headlines had 'Mlambos in car accident,' the January entertainment front news has "Mlambos' Survival show."  The Super Legends are back in Johannesburg for another 'jibilika' action packed year.

The band will ignite the Johannesburg  showbiz on the fourth of February 2017 at Hilbrow theatre, it will be an all-night performance billed at R100-00.

Briefing the media in Johannesburg the band's   manager Thabani Ndlovu said: "It feels good to be back but even better to be back alive! We have a clean bill of health and the boys are raring to go. What we did in 2016 is actually half of what we are going to do in 2017."

The electrifying choreographic works will be exhibited through what has been nicknamed ‘Mlambos' strike force' which include the following:  the  silky Black Mlungu, Gunman Amzoe and the bully dreadlocked striker Godo, flanked by the lengthy wingers Mudee and the overlapping Twenty-Twenty.

Following that fashion , it means that the  backline has the overlapping bass guitarist Twenty Twenty, the longest serving playmaker Mtshana, the cream de la cream Cute-boy and the Super Legend himself SaMangwe who will anchor the midfield in the  centre stage .

As usual the team's senior ambassador Mordecai SaAmbie Ngwenya  and Mastermind Thabani Thibos Ndlovu will be taking turns in issuing  instructions and attending the media briefs from the sidelines.

One of the fanatic Mlambos Idale members Ishmael "Bro khu" Ncube  said , "as fans we will be celebrating many things, the survival of the accident itself, new happiness from fresh 2017, we will hear the new plan, and also end the January disease in style through our idolised operation unyawo phansi."

When asked to narrate the 2016 December  road accident that almost whipped off the whole band members , Ndlovu had this to say:

"When our heavily loaded trailer started pulling our Van instead of our Van pulling the trailer,  we all could see the end of our well lived lives. I even wished I was asleep like others in the car than to watch the pending death that was fast approaching.

The trailer kept on swaying to the left and right forcefully in a very frightening manner. This continued for more than 5 seconds which in our calendar I swear it was for the whole day.

Sabhekana lo SaMangwe ngeziqu zamehlo okwabantu abavalelisanayo (we looked straight into each other's eyes with Fiselani Ngwenya in a final goodbye gesture) .

Before we could say a word the car lost control ,It went head on with steel barricades that run on the side of a dangerous part of the freeway to avoid cars from falling over the deadly cliff.

A head on collision was the first impact, the trailer pulled the car backwards preventing the car from falling over. The rest was too scary to explain and it happened within a blink of an eye when our minds were turned upside down to capture the details.

Ramoloko Finance (Our Polokwani Family ) came to the scene , took us to their home and fed us.

They begged us not to return to Joburg but instead to continue with the journey as planned,  they even gave us one of their best Bakkie- a Ford Ranger 3.2 without any conditions, to replace ours which was a complete  rightoff.

"Allow me to at this juncture to pass my gratitude to  Ma Meso Director of Ramoloko Finance and her Daughter Ramoloko Finance Manager- our Sister Esnath. All Zimbabwean shows were going to be cancelled if it wasn't for them .They are true legends  who demonstrated their  kindness  in the face of xenophobic encirclement," Ndlovu explained.

Ndlovu also confirmed that in Zimbabwe the band had a successful marathon show line-up .

"People back home  were rocking,  we have never seen so many people in one place except at a stadium when Highlanders and Dynamos would be playing or in a typical Mzansi derby between Pirates and Chiefs. Shows kicked off with a promotion facilitated by our dear friend Dickens Mathe -a teacher at Zezane High school in association with Percy Vela - the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe-Matabeleland South province's programmes Officer," Ndlovu said.

Confirming the success of the show, Dickens Mathe who is also a seasoned drumist and cultural organiser trading  in Matabeleland south province, said , "despite the spine chilling accident Mlambos fulfilled its promise to Gwanda residents by staging a compact two hour promotional show. It was a hive of activity at Jahunda terminus as fans from all corners  of Gwanda town came to cheer the so much acclaimed rhumba band. Amzoe and Mude displayed  eye catching and well-rehearsed footworks. It was almost a stampede when SamaNgwe came on stage, they had been calling for him and indeed he displayed expensive footwork that cant be bought from any dance-room."

From Gwanda, Mlambos went on to  read the presidential letter at Ngwidze, where by public demand a subsequent show has been  booked for April 2017.

"on 24 December we had a great family show in Bulawayo where we entertained a family from Tonota in Botswana. They confessed that the Show was worth a lot of money . The Christmas Day was also well spent with the legendary soccer players of our Land, It was a Jonah festive open Tournament after all.

Above all the  clash of Mlambos Express Band and Clement  Magwaza was an all-night  humdinger. On the 26th of  December  Mabuledi Mpoengs' was on fire , there we also featured our late band member  Thuthani'son- Suppah aka Mabhareta Junior. The Show became too emotional such that families and friends cried out loud in memory of the fallen hero whom we know is not down at all as his spirit is still leading the band. From 27 December 2016 to 2 January 2017 the readings of the letter continued in areas like  Tshitshi , Mpandeni ,Manguba, Nopemano ,  Khame ,and  Luvuluma .
