South Africa-based gospel outfit Umthombo Weskristu Gospel Servants bounced back with a second album titled Zinhle Kodwa Z'yabulala.
The album is a follow up to their debut Siza Nkosi which was released in 2015. Simosenkosi Mbambo, the group leader who is back home to promote their new offing said it was their mission to climb the gospel ladder through their music.
The group which has five members including two female members and three males has lately been performing live shows in South Africa.
"With this album we are trying to bring people into the right direction which is God's direction where there's light.
"People are living in sin to get rich....people are now killing each other in exchange for money; sacrificing their own children to get rich and be recognised out there," Mbambo said.
"This album is spreading the word that this world is now full of good things in which some of them are not of God and most of the people are now living that life which has no God in it." She said their first album did not do well on the market owing to lack of experience and exposure.
"We were not expecting much on our first album as our aim was to pave way to the music industry and to establish our name. It didn't perform well on the market."
Mbambo, however, said they took their time to come up with their second product as they were really determined to leave a mark in the industry. "With the Grace of God there is much improvement. Our new album is doing great on the market. People love this album and our fans are increasing day and night. We managed to put it in our local radio stations," she said.
Plug tracks on the album include the title track Zinhle Kodwa Z'yabulala, and Masimthandeni. The group leader said they were working on not only launching the new project back home but conducting live shows as well.
The group members include Mbambo, Caroline Ncube, Promise Bongi Ndlovu, Ndabezinhle Ndlovu and Limikani Moyo.
