Growing up in the merciless town that is Hwange in Matabeleland North province, it wasn't long before 24year old "D2X" formerly known as "Lez", would become acquainted with the harsh realities of the world. Sheltered by no means, the artist was exposed to a lifestyle commonly adapted in the ghettos. However, this exposure didn't influence his character in a way that onlookers would expect. With the wisdom from his grandfather, who also is a well known and respected musician, D2X had a balance in his life that many of his childhood peers were missing, it is this balance that is
responsible for his untold story "zero to hero", the life of a young black township kid who invades a world class African city and creates a music empire.

During his upbringing, D2X was constantly surrounded by an eclectic range of music. Lending his ears to Kwaito masters such as Mandla Mafokeng well known as Spikiri, as well as Hip-hop legends like 2pac, which helped prepare him for the opportunities that would one day arise in the music industry. At 15, D2X released his first mixtape titled Dark City creating a buzz in his hometown and gathering the attention of "Psycho World Studios Founder and C.E.O Sebastian Kazumba also known as Killah Flames. From then on, D2X worked to perfect his skill under Psycho World Studios in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, releasing six new projects in a three year span "Empress", "Zonke", "Ol' lady", "More faya", "Izinja zasekas' lami", "Mina nabangane bami" and "Kudliw' idollar" which received praise from some of most respected online music sources.

Finally in 2012, D2X came to his resting place, Hardtime Productions   (Johannesburg), which was thought of and started by Mbuso Masuku (DJ Shoes), Byron khumalo, his uncle Lucky Sibanda and him Darlington Sibanda (D2X). It didn't take long for D2X to start producing chart hit songs and early this year, he released a House single "Reverse" which featured Byron Khumalo and Mindloz Smesh which did very well on the charts. Through these efforts, D2X was able to showcase to the world his unparalleled ability and humorous word play. His handwork and unmatched talent has allowed him to work with a wide range of music vets such as Nush-Styles, Tapiwa Batsirai (BeezyAfrica), Zim Hip Hop Awards nominated producer Mr. Noxa for DIJA TMG Records, Webster Mapanda for Logarithmz Studios, Lazzie T (the famous urban grooves hits producer from Hesi Mfesi), DJ BreezSox and many more artist.

Currently D2X has released three singles, "Mabajabule abantu", "Jackpot" and "Shona phansi" in which he features Uyiosa Osasere Osadayi also known as "ICE" an artist from Lagos Nigeria whom he just signed under his record stable, all of which are taken off his upcoming and much awaited album ''GTwEnTy9" which he dedicates to all his fans and those who wish to see Kwaito go internationally. The final album is going to carry a total of 15 tracks and is definitely something to look forward to.
