CHARLES Ndebele of Ndolwane Super Sounds Amangwe Part 1 caused a war on Facebook at the weekend after posting a message accusing his former partner - Martin Sibanda of stealing their property and money as well as the unfair dismissal of band members. The two artistes separated five years ago over what they termed irreconcilable differences, leaving their followers speculating on the actual cause of the separation.
In apparent reference to Sibanda, Ndebele at the weekend decided to shed more light on their separation by opening up on Facebook. Besides accusing Sibanda of stealing money to duplicate their albums, he also questioned why other group members like Oliver Honest Kamanga and Collen Mpumelelo Kamanga Moyo left when they were under Sibanda's leadership.
Wrote Ndebele: "uOliver Honest Kamanga waphumelani, Collen Mpumelelo Moyo naye waphumelani kwakwenzekeni ngemali yoku presser amacassettes. Before uMzala wami ezotshona kwenzekani ngemali eyayisebank esathi sibuza ngayo komunye umuntu wathi yena unezinto ezingcono azenzayo, iNdolwane imbangela ukutshisa, wasukuma wasitshiya endlini yakhe Wahamba (Why did Oliver Honest Kamanga and Collen Mpumelelo Moyo leave the group? What happened to the money that was supposed to be used to duplicate copies of cassettes? What happened to the money that was in the bank, just before Abson Bhule Ndebele died? When we asked a certain fellow about the monies, he said Ndolwane was causing him problems before he left and that he had better things to do)," posted Ndebele.
He continued: "icomputer yantshontshwa ngubani eoffice eBraamfontein? Imali yama cassettes engangithe uCain Maphosa ayigcine ngisemsebenzini yathathwa ngubani. Yasisiyaphi ngoba yanyamalala nje. Ukusika elijikayo nje, umenzi uyakhohlwa kodwa umenziwa akakhohlwa (Who stole the computer in the office in Braamfontein. Who took the money for cassettes that I'd said Cain Maphosa should keep when I was at work? Those who've wronged others tend to forget, unlike the wronged).
The Facebook post was eventually pulled down yesterday after a heated argument between followers who took turns to hurl insults while others defended their preferred artiste. Some followers queried why Ndebele had been quiet all this time while those who supported him said he had every right to tell the world what transpired.
In an interview yesterday, Ndebele said he wrote the post after he was angered by people who were accusing him of causing the group's split. "I don't want to add anything about what I wrote on Facebook. I was angry as people were accusing me of many things, now that I've opened up, I want to keep it that way," said Ndebele.
"The message has been sent and the intended person has heard me." Sibanda on the other hand refused to shed more light on the accusations suggesting that a press conference be held where the two artistes will iron out their differences.
"People phoned me saying fans are fighting over Charles and I on Facebook. I can't say much now. If people want to know the truth, a press conference should be called where Charles and I will address journalists and tell them the truth to avoid rumours and lies," said Sibanda.
