Following his successful tour of Zimbabwe dubbed "The Tour of my Motherland" in November 2015, UK-based Bulawayo-born gospel singer Nkosi Ka Ndlovu returned to the studio this year and has just released his fourth album entitled "My Prayer". Ndlovu's new release, a 10 track production showcases his other side.

The Album number four is all fireworks, it is hot like chillies, crispy like the morning dew, rhythmically soothing and crystal, yet lyrically inspiring and expertly infused.

Ndlovu says the album is a direct response to the followers of his music who have constantly asked him to do a recording of hymns. "I'm sure people will love this album as I've spiced up these all-time gospel classics and brought them to life again in my own unique way" Nkosi explained. Asked if he intends to follow up his recent tour with another one soon, Nkosi replied, "many people have been enquiring about that, I am happy to announce that plans are underway to embark on a follow up tour and dates will be announced in due course".

Nkosi's 2015 tour of Zimbabwe saw him and his band The Experience stage shows in his home area of Gwelutshena in Nkayi, followed by Bulawayo with Mkhululi Bhebhe of Jouyous Celebration, Plumtree, Harare with Mathias Mhere and finally Gweru with Takesure Zamah Ncube. All the shows were reportedly well attended and Ndlovu says people received his music well. "I am so impressed by the level of music in our country, especially gospel. The brothers that toured with me,  Zimpraise and Bulawayo-based VocalX just to name a few. The level of commitment and professionalism is second to none and I can see that with that mindset our music is destined for great heights. The way forward as Zimbabwean artists of all genres is to work, support and help one another. That way we will all improve; Not only our own bands but the entire music industry" Nkosi said.

In the UK Nkosi has performed in churches and conferences around the country. Despite singing mostly in Ndebele, Ndlovu says this has never been a handicap to him as most people enjoy the uniqueness of his language and the style of his music. Ndlovu also quotes and salutes Oliver Mtukudzi and Ladysmith Black Mambazo who have successfully impacted and impressed the world while singing in their own languages.

Nkosi Ka Ndlovu is also patron for a development project which he started at his former school Zidulini in Nkayi in 2009 and said he was pleased that one of the classroom blocks was at its final touches of completion thanks to all friends of Zidulini who continue to donate towards the school. Besides the current building under construction,  Ndlovu has in the past donated text books and uniforms to his former school and he says this has been made possible by donations by friends of Zidulini as well as a percentage from the sales of his music.

His ministry also supports a student who is currently at boarding school in Zimbabwe.  Nkosi started realising his singing talent at early age at Zidulini as well as in his church the Seventh-day Adventist. "I'm passionate about helping Zidulini because I grew up and was first schooled there. I know the potential and needs of the community and abecause I also feel that God commands me to do so" "freely you've received so freely give to others" this seems to be the attitude which Mr Ndlovu has assumed.

Nkosi ka Ndlovu is one of those talented artists who release hits after hits, very few artists are capable of continuous improvements as can be witnessed in Nkosi's latest offing which is the state of the art and of highest quality possible.
