South African award winning kwaito outfit Big Nuz put up a memorable show when they performed in Harare at Kebab Centre over the weekend.
The talented group took turns to dish out their hit tracks "Umlilo", "Serious", "I Hope You Don't Mind" and "Kwazi Kwamnandi" leaving the crowd asking for more.
The group that consists of Mandla Mampumula (Mapintsha), Mzi Tshomela (Danger) was short of third member R. Mashesha (Sbu Khomo), but made it up with a formidable performance.
"We are out to invade Zimbabwe and spread house music in this country which is our second home. We had no idea that we had such a huge fan base and we thank all our fans for the love they showed us," said group member Mapintsha.
The vibrant duo was accompanied by DJ Boonu from Afrotainment in Durban making a formidable combination that kept fans on their feet on the chilly night.
Mapintsha showed off some of Mzansi's hottest moves with his freestyle dances while Danger worked his magic with his unique voice.
Their act was international, in spite of the poor sound system that almost brought the show to a halt. DJ Boonu, however, managed to work his way around it making it almost unnoticeable.
Big Nuz, who had also brought down the house in Mutare on Friday together with local artistes Sniper Storm and Freeman revealed that people had not seen the last of them.
"We have plans to come back to tour other parts of Zimbabwe when we release our next album in July.
"We will bring Big Nuz CDs and T-shirts and hot performances," said Danger.
A representative of Zero One One Entertainment, the show's promoters Sammy Washaya said they were pleased with the massive turn out despite their poor marketing of the gig.
"We are happy to bring house music to this country because it is a genre that has been left out for a long time.
"House is making waves in all parts of the world so we thought of giving Harare a piece of the fun.
"People can rest be assured that more of this international music will be coming to Zimbabwe," he said.
Big Nuz was formed in 2002 in Umlazi Township in South Africa.
Since then, they worked their way up the ladder breaking into the international scene with albums "2nd Round Knockout" and "Undisputed".
