Gospel celebration - Ishe Wenyasha with Fungisai 26 and 28 April 2014

Nepachem cc is promoting two live concerts in Gauteng dubbed "Gospel Celebration - Ishe Wenyasha" where well known Zimbabwean based gospel artiste Fungisai Zvakavapano Mashavave will perform. "I am excited to reconnect through these two shows with followers of my music who have made South Africa their home", said Fungisai. " It is also our intention to introduce our brand of gospel music to South African gospel lovers", She added.
Fungisai has to date released 10 well received albums. She has travelled and performed both regionally and internationally and has impacted the lives of many people through the uplifting messages pregnant in her music. She is involved in various charitable activities and sits on various boards that include the National Aids Council of Zimbabwe. She is married to Courage and they have been blessed with three wonderful children, Tawananyasha, Matipanyasha and Wenyasha.
Fungisai is currently riding high with her latest album Social Facts released in December last year, with the song Gore Rapera topping the local charts since the beginning of the year. Gore Rapera which features Mukudzei Mukombe has been on pole position on Radio Zimbabwe's Coca Cola Top Twenty for over six weeks and on number one on the Star FM Gospel Greats Charts for almost four weeks. Another song "Super Power" featuring Albert Nyathi has been in the top ten ever since. Both songs have vidoes released on Youtube with Gore Rapera garnering 15,000 views in under a month."
The supporting act, Africa Sing Choir was formed in January 2013 by Tsitsi Kudita Chawasarira, Emmanuel Mhako, Primrose Njewa and Gift Chawasarira. The choir was formed primarily to train and open doors for emerging gospel artists and to promote established gospel artists based in South Africa. Their vision is to spread the Gospel through music rooted in African languages and beats. The 25 member choir is busy working on its debut album titled The Breakthrough which features songs from Tsitsi Kudita, Primrose Njewa, Cosmas Rusere and seven upcoming gospel musicians. Africa Sing is working on a number of collaborations with other gospel musicians, producers and choirs to expand the gospel music industry in South Africa. The Director of the choir Gift Chawasarira said "We as a choir are very happy to be given this platform by Nepachem to showcase our talent. We encourage other promoters and sponsors to rally behind Zimbabwean gospel at home and in the diaspora.
Speaking to this publication, Tafirenyika Makunike of Nepachem remarked that, "we are really privileged to host this Ishe Wenyasha Gospel Celebration to thank our Lord, Ebenezer who has taken us thus far in 2014" The artistes perform on Saturday, 26 April 2014 at the Johannesburg City Hall (Gauteng Legislature) right in the city of gold, and on Monday 28 April 2014, a public holiday in South Africa at the ZAOGA Forward In Faith RSA headquarters Auditorium in Clayville, Oliphantsfontein. "For both shows have the doors open at 11h30 but live performance start from 12h00 to 16h00 a family friendly time" said Makunike. Tickets are being sold throughout all Shoprite Checkers stores in South Africa and are also available directly from Computicket for R105 and R130 at the gate. Kids between 6 and 12 years pay R60 and those below 6 years come in free.
