Auditions for the Starbrite talent search show started in Harare this Wednesday at the Andy Miller Hall, at the Harare Agricultural Show.
Show Director, Barney Mpariwa said more than 4 000 contestants have registered from Harare alone.
He said as a result of the overwhelming response, auditions will be held up to the 1st of next month.
There will be a break for three days after which they will continue on the 5th to the 7th of December.
Mpariwa said those who registered via SMS will be contacted via the same regarding their audition dates.
He added that there will be no onsite registration and only those who registered before the 20th of this month will be considered.
Meanwhile, the organisers of the show have urged those who auditioned from other provinces to be patient and not call Starbrite command offices as they will be contacted after the Harare auditions.
Starbrite started in the early 90s and it has produced stars like Prudence Katomeni, Mateo, Kireni Zulu, Cee Jay, Besa, Witness Matema and many others.
