Pokello gets advice from Makosi

ZIMBABWE'S Big Brother Africa The Chase housemate, Pokello Nare, who has been taunted as being boring, has received advice from an unlikely source.

Controversial Big Brother UK housemate Makosi Musambasi has urged Pokello to remain natural as this year's prize money, $300 000, was not worth "selling her soul" for.

Musambasi, who was heavily exposed by the reality television show after she stripped naked and had sex with a housemate in the pool, said experience was the best teacher.

"When I took part in Big Brother UK, I was only 21 years old and I thought winning 100 000 pounds was everything, but its not.
"As for Pokello, I don't think there is anything she can do except to be herself, she just has to be natural," she said.

Makosi, now resident in Harare, said people's perceptions that she was not "entertaining" should not affect her as her stay in the house was determined by how fans vote.

"I don't want her to compromise herself, I don't want her to start kissing, stripping or doing other things that would tarnish her image because life is bigger than Big Brother.

"Money should not put value to who you are, $300 000 is not worth dying for, she can get it from her parents if she wants, so Madam Pokello, just be who you are," said the former cardiac nurse.

A few months ago, it was rumoured that Musambasi was keen to be part of Big Brother Africa, a rumour she vehemently denied.
She said Pokello must know that there is life after Big Brother.

"As for me, people are still talking about what I did, even when I turn 40 they will still make reference to it, so Pokello must bear that in mind as well.

"She has a son, a family, a fiancé and above all she does not live in an island so she must not taint herself for the camera," said.
The 32-year-old Musambasi gave reference to former BBA winner Wendall Parsons.

"Look at Wendall, he won Big Brother last year and had a lot of money but now he is being arrested for fraud.
"Money is not everything; one cannot afford to lose their dignity for money, today you might have it and tomorrow its gone, as for dignity once its lost you will never get it again," said Musambasi.

Meanwhile, former housemate, Munyaradzi "Diamond" Chidzonga also echoed the same sentiments and urged Pokello to be her true self in the reality television series.

"In Big Brother, there is no formula, I have been watching her this past week and she is not doing badly.
I think she still has a chance in the game," said Chidzonga.

He said if Nare survives eviction in the next fortnight then her chances of making it into the last day of the show would be enhanced.
