Big Brother Africa to kick off next month

Africa's biggest reality show, Big Brother Africa (BBA) will resume next month after the organisers secured a new venue to replace the one gutted by fire on September 2.
M-Net and Endemol SA, the producers of the show, announced the new development in a statement yesterday.
"Following the devastating fire on September 2, 2014 at the Big Brother house in Johannesburg, M-Net and Endemol SA have spent the last 48 hours searching both locally and internationally for a venue in which to produce Season 9 of the highly popular Big Brother Africa reality show," read part of the statement.
"After exploring all possible options, the team is delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month."
The two organisers added that getting a new house for the show was not an easy exercise.
"A multitude of factors have had to be considered including the complex technical requirements, logistics, technical crews and satellite link facilities which have all formed part of the challenge.
"However, M-Net is delighted to assure all its Big Brother fans that their favourite reality show will launch soon and thanks to fans from across the continent for their support during the last two days."
Last year, contestants came from South Africa,
Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Angola, Zambia, Uganda,Namibia, Ghana, Malawi,Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Botswana and Malawi.
But Sierra Leone and Rwanda have been excluded in this year's edition of Big Brother Africa.
This has been attributed to schedules and logistical constraints which did not allow sufficient time to follow the necessary procedures in order to process the required travel documentation which has recently become a more complex procedure.
The grapevine suggests that Zimbabwe's representatives are likely to be chosen among DJ Butterphly Phunk, Dr Clarence, Jefferson Musererera, Taurai Mandebvu, Hillary Indi, Cynthia Mare, Tawanda Mugodhi (Goridhe) and Thomas 'CST' Chizhanje.
