Why other people are happier, more successful in life, work and business? This is the last of our 5 week series.
Sense of humor
Humor is infectious. Here are a few reasons why you should incorporate humor into your day to day life.
Laughter is the best medicine: Humor and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress.
Boosts Morale: Humor lightens your burdens, inspires hope, connects you to others, and keeps you grounded, focused, and alert.
Enhances relationships: When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy.
You are more approachable:The more approachable you are, especially as a leader, the more honest and open people around you will be.
With so much power to heal and renew, the ability to laugh easily and frequently is a tremendous resource for overcoming problems, enhancing your relationships, and supporting both physical and emotional health.
Self Confidence
Confidence is its simplest form is is knowing what you're truly good at, the value you provide, and acting in a way that conveys that to others. An article on self-confidence from the counseling center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign defines self-confidence as having a positive attitude, but with realistic views. They note that a self-confident person has a general sense of control of her own life, and can do what she wishes, plans and expects. Self-confidence means that even if things don't go your way, you still believe that eventually, somehow, some way, they will. The steps to developing self confidence include:
Visualizing
Overcoming negative thoughts and Moving forward with Confidence.
I hope that this 5 week series has equipped you to become the most successful person that you can be!
Have a blessed and successful week!
