We all know that indulgent meals and desserts can add on the extra calories, and most of us ignore the liquid calories we consume. Those delicious cocktails can add up when you have more than one. Cocktails contain between 100 - 300 calories per drink.

If you and your friends tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle all year, you would surely want to keep your consumption in check but you don't have to miss out on the fun. With a few simple changes, you can create delicious cocktails that are also low in sugar. Your guests will be impressed.

Watermelon Rose Refresher

This refreshing summer drink comes in at around 120 calories. The rose adds a floral note that gives this drink a very indulgent feel.


 
 - White Spirit of your choice (Gin or Vodka) - watermelon Vodka works very well
 - Half a cup Fresh Watermelon Juice
 - Half a cup Soda Water
 - 2 drops Rose Essence
 - Crushed Iced
Blend and serve in a tall glass

Pineapple Coconut crush
There is nothing quite like the classic pineapple and coconut combo to bring on the island vibes. Approximately 110 calories 


 
 - White Spirit of your choice
 - Half a cup fresh pineapple
 - Half a cup Coconut water
 - 1tsp fresh lime juice
 - Crushed Ice
 - Mint leaves to garnish
Blend, garnish with Mint leaves

Berry Vodka Cocktail
The zesty sweet berries with a touch of honey make this drink a wonderfully refreshing and it's easy to make as well. Approximately 130 calories


 
 - A handful of Blueberries you will need a few extra for garnish
 - A handful of Raspberries plus extra for garnish
 - Mint leaves
 - 1 tablespoon lime juice
 - Half a tsp honey
 - Vodka
 - Ice
 - Soda Water
Muddle the berries and mint together.
Pour into a glass add lime juice, sugar, vodka and top up soda water and plenty of ice.
Garnish with the extra berries and mint leaves

Lastly, a few tips for healthier holiday sipping. For an extra touch, you can freeze ice cubes with berries and mint and add them to the glass. Be mindful of what you consume this festive season and walk into 2022 without the traditional holiday weight gain.
