Leopard Rock Hotel, a colonial-era landmark nestled in the lush Bvumba Mountains of Manicaland, has emerged as a standout attraction during the ongoing Sanganai Hlanganani Kumbanayi World Tourism Expo, drawing praise from both local and international visitors.

Established in 1946, the hotel boasts a rich heritage and has hosted royal guests including the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. Its timeless architecture and serene setting continue to captivate tourists seeking both luxury and adventure in Zimbabwe's Eastern Highlands.

Speaking during a media familiarisation tour, General Manager Wilfred Munetsi highlighted the hotel's diverse offerings, describing it as "a perfect getaway" for travelers of all kinds.

"Guests can unwind in the hotel's casino, enjoy a meal at La Roche Restaurant, or relax by the swimming pool," Munetsi said. "Whether you're looking for adventure, relaxation, or a romantic escape, Leopard Rock Hotel has something for everyone."

Among the hotel's key attractions is its 18-hole championship golf course, designed by renowned architect Peter Matkovich. The course is celebrated for its challenging layout and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains.

Nature lovers are also drawn to the hotel's private game park, which is home to a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, kudus, elands, and wildebeests. Horse riding and guided mountain hikes offer guests immersive ways to explore the scenic terrain.

Birdwatching has become a major draw, with over 250 species documented in the area. The hotel's gardens and forested surroundings provide an ideal habitat for both indigenous and exotic birds, making it a haven for ornithologists and casual enthusiasts alike.

Munetsi also praised the region's biodiversity and the hotel's commitment to showcasing local flora and fauna. "Our coffee and tea are strong, our views are stunning, and our hospitality is unmatched," he added.

As the Sanganai Hlanganani Expo continues to spotlight Zimbabwe's tourism potential, Leopard Rock Hotel stands as a testament to the country's natural beauty, cultural heritage, and world-class hospitality.
