Egypt street clashes leaves 7 dead, 261 injured

Seven people were killed and 261 others injured in clashes erupted late Monday in Egypt's capital of Cairo between the supporters of the ousted-President Mohamed Morsi and security forces, official MENA news agency reported Tuesday.
Clashes occurred at Ramses Square and on the 6th October Bridge when Morsi's supporters attempted to take the bridge that leads to Tahrir Square where Morsi's opponents are gathering.
The protesters set the cars on the bridge in blaze and hurled stones at vehicles. The traffic on both directions were halted and nearby shops were forced to close in fear of violent clashes.
The security forces used tear gas bombs to disperse the protesters and blocked the bridge's entrances and exits.
Army helicopters were seen flying over Tahrir and Ramses squares after the clashes.
Meanwhile, other clashes also erupted in Giza's al-Bahr al-Azam street in Cairo between Morsi's supporters and opponents.
The Interior Ministry called on all citizens to peacefully express their opinions in line with the law and avoid blocking roads.
Presidential media adviser Ahmed el-Meslimani said the presidency started preparation for holding a national reconciliation session, noting that the violent acts by some groups won't change the current situation or impose new conditions on the ground.
