Kelly Khumalo living in fear

KELLY Khumalo fears for her life. The wrath on social media has left the singer and actor concerned about the reality of an attack or other life-threatening eventuality.
Several fans sent her direct messages saying: "I'm gonna kill you just like you killed Senzo", "You deserve to die" and "You must follow Senzo".
She hasn't reported the threats to the police yet but has taken them seriously.
Khumalo, has tried to keep a low profile since Sunday night when her lover and the father of her daughter, Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, was gunned down at her mother's house in Vosloorus.
Sowetan has learnt that the family has moved from the township in Ekurhuleni to Khumalo's house in Mulbarton, south of Johannesburg, where she has been recovering from the trauma.
However, around 8pm on Wednesday, the family was startled by loud bangs on the doors and windows.
It was reportedly police accompanied by Meyiwa's relatives and some journalists who came to collect Meyiwa's belongings.
Khumalo's uncles asked them to follow proper police procedures by involving the investigating officers.
"She wanted everything to be documented and not be taken away without any record since the matter is being investigated by the police," reported a witness who didn't want to be identified.
This left Khumalo shaken and concerned about her safety.
Police spokesman Neville Malila could not confirm the incident. Khumalo says some threatening and obscene messages have been deleted from her Instagram account in which followers who purport to support Meyiwa and his wife Mandisa Mkhize swore to harm her.
Her account is still awash with slander, insults and threats under photos of her with Meyiwa or videos featuring the late soccer star as he sings Khumalo's latest single ‘‘Asine'' — a song about a woman accused of murdering her husband and pleading her innocence.
Her cellphone has been returned by police after it was taken in for investigation but it is not working and she has largely been oblivious to the bile spewed.
Khumalo's manager, Percy Vilakazi, responded to queries about Khumalo's safety: "I can confirm that Kelly and her family are aware of the threats. They are very concerned and are taking it very seriously. Her uncles will be talking to the investigating officers to see what her options are."
Her Instagram account jumped from 24 200 followers on Tuesday to 36 700 by yesterday and the numbers of her supporters and detractors, who have called her a "side whore" among other profanities, keep climbing.
Some of the comments posted include tebogosako: "Ur one kind of a bitch u shoudve left senzo alone. Umight as well had killed him bitch. Nxle"
Some defended Khumalo, i_amntsikifab wrote: "I like that you have decided to keep yourself out of the public. People are looking for a scapegoat. No one is blaming or questioning Senzo actions."
