TWO women are nursing wounds and another is living in fear after a man who loves yellow bone women attacked them.
The man apparently couldn't accept being rejected by the women who are light in complexion.
On Friday he attacked Ntombokhanyo Mangesi (29) for rejecting him and also attacked her friend, Sibongile Thwala (32) in their room in Alexandra, Joburg. He is facing charges of attempted murder.
Ntombokhanyo said since March this year, the suspect has been harassing her.
"I don't want men. I came to Joburg from the Eastern Cape in January to look for a job, not for a man," she said.
"But this man has been trying to force me to have an affair with him. I'm in pain because I'm so good looking."
Sibongile, who was stabbed seven times when she tried to help her friend, said the attack comes after a long list of hard luck.
She said she buried her brother on 12 June and her sister on 4 July.
The man hit Ntombokhanyo with a brick, dislocating her kneecap.
Another woman who was approached by the suspect, Celiwe Gotyana (28), said the man won't take no for an answer.
"He even told his wife about his moves on me," she said.
The suspect was arrested a day after the incident but was seen walking in the streets the next day.
"We never attended any court proceedings. What if he comes back and kills us? The law and justice system is failing us," said Ntombokhanyo.
A community leader, Nombulelo Zolani (37), said the community will make sure the suspect pays for his sins if police don't do their job.
Bramley police spokesman, Warrant Officer Moses Maphakela, said a case of assault was opened and the suspect is out on bail. He didn't plead and will appear at the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Monday.
